"Yowch!" Megavolt yelled, throwing Tegwen onto a nearby lawn. Fortunately, the harsh landing seemed to have no affect on her in that torpid state.
Megavolt hopped around, clutching his left foot and screeching in pain.

A tire, which had no right or reason to find itself suddenly dropped onto Megavolt's foot, was the culprit. On its own, the steel-belted radial descending from the heavens would have caused multiple fractures. Attached to the whirling, metallic creation that stood atop it, those remaining fragments were pounded to a pulp.

"I'm sorry," a voice spoke up as Megavolt bounced around, howling in agony and still clinging to his crushed foot. "I must not have seen you there."

Finally, Megavolt stopped and turned to the voice, pointing a finger in his general direction. "Why I oughtta fry ya right --" He stopped abruptly when his eyes fell upon the metal-clad figure who had injured him. "Oh no!" Megavolt gasped, retreating slightly. "Gizmoduck?!"

Tall, white and gleaming, the mallard known as Gizmoduck glared at the distressed supervillain. Designed as a self contained security system of incredible strength and firepower, he was bulletproof, fireproof and virtually everything-proof. Within the protective suit of metal, wires, weapons and monitors was a mysterious stranger whose identity was nearly as illusive as Darkwing Duck's. Enigmatic, and on the payroll of McDuck Enterprises.

"Vill-ia-n!" Gizmoduck proclaimed, reaching for Megavolt. "What kind of devious destruction have you been dealing tonight?!"

Oblivious now to the throbbing pain pulsing from his foot, Megavolt rushed over to where Tegwen had landed. He shook her violently. "Come on, we've gotta get out of here! Wake up! Tegwen, wake up!"

Tegwen's eyelashes fluttered slightly and she managed a pitiful groan. "My head . . ."

Realizing that further attempts of waking her were futile, Megavolt promptly gave up and gathered what remained of his strength, swiftly hefting her up onto his shoulder.

Gizmoduck stood there numbly at first, watching as Megavolt took off with his gorgeous cohort.

"Stop!" Gizmoduck commanded, in hot pursuit of Megavolt. He caught up with Megavolt less than a block later. "Set her down!" He ordered, riding alongside Megavolt persistently.

"No way!" Megavolt snapped. "She's mine! I got to her first!"

"You're kidnapping her!" Gizmoduck snatched Tegwen from off of Megavolt's shoulder and quickly turned to go the opposite way.
